| Wow. I haven't done this in a really long time but, seeing as how I don't feel like studying at the moment for my last 2 finals on monday and tuesday, this just felt like a good idea.
So yeah, it's almost time for Stanford academics to end for the year of 2005-2006. I mean, some people have finished (for example, my roommate left yesterday night because he was finished and he had to rush home for a wedding), but most people still have a couple of finals to go. And if they don't, they're still around because California is just awesome and some of them probably live nearby so they're choosing to stay here because there's so much more freedom and fun in the dorm then there will probably be at home because we all know that there's going to be plenty of work to do back home and the parents can't wait to have another set of hands to help out with the housework. ok...leaving that thought behind...I can't wait to go home because I just want to relax, find a job for a reasonable amount of hours during the week, and see Maria. Things would be so different if Maria wasn't around, and I imagine I would be much more open to spending my summer in cali working for some research lab or internship in the area. I hear about so many opportunities through the various emails, but there is no way I'm staying here because I have special people I want to spend my summer with back home. And I wouldn't have it any other way...next year I'll just work harder on securing an internship in a field of interest back home...I tried this year but I didn't know what I wanted to do so I got into contact with some consulting firms and that just wasn't my thing so the interviews didn't work out as a result. Man...I would've liked to work for Scholastic...well maybe Old Navy will still take me and I don't know why I shouldn't be able to find a job at a pharmacy or something...just none of the food serving stuff or really long hours at a department store. I think I want to work between 20-30 hours a week just to make money, and then spend the rest of my time having fun. A road trip would be awesome, I think we're going on vacation, and I want to fly somewhere in the US with Maria...probably NYC and the surrounding area visiting people and seeing all of the sites and stuff.
Freshman year has been pretty special and I've made a few really close friends. Sucks that a couple of them are going to be a part of a frat next year so they won't be around as much (stupid jianwei and seihout i joke but still) but at least kiley will still be around and randy will have to make up the difference I guess. Living in Toyon seems like it's going to be a lot of fun...it's a nice place to live and I know quite a few of the people there but since it's bigger than the dorm I lived in this year, maybe I'll get the chance to meet some new people. It's also closer to the gym and the sand volleyball courts and tennis courts and some of the lecture halls so that might be a good thing. However, its farther from the post office, Tressider, and the Row Houses and the parties that are connected to them. Oh well, we'll see how that goes. Living in a triple should be different too, but at least we have two rooms...hopefully we can make one of the rooms a lounge and the other the place we sleep but we'll see how that goes. But yes...freshman year has been pretty awesome all around but I do look forward to being a sophomore and living on a different part of the campus. Just need to avoid the Sophomore slump and things should be fine...I think I'm going to make fall quarter easy though so that should help some...and no more SLE!!! That will make my schedule so much more enjoyableeven though I might have work to do outside of the time I won't have to spend in class...anyways that after the best summer ever...by which I mean the summer that will start in about 5 days!
But yes...so close to summer but not quite there yet. Still 2 finals, one in CS and one in ECON. The CS one is on monday and I've been doing some of the practice problems and they don't seem to bad but some of the programs are just really f-ing annoying. Haven't really started studying for ECON yet but we had 3 tests in that class and the material doesn't seem that bad (though I can't manage to distance myself from the mean score in the class dammit). But yeah...studying for tests is nothing like writing papers so I'm basically left with a lot of free time and that's why I'm writing this entry right now. I hope it wasn't too long.
See some of you soon and for the rest...good day! ~mous

| Hey all,
Keeping with the tradition, I'm updating on the 3rd of the month. So this time we're in the month of May flowers and all meaning its been 16 months since that time me and maria hooked up last year...jk jk...but yes things have been awesome ever since 01.03.05.
It sucks that I can't give her flowers but I've figured out other things to do in the meantime and when I return, or maybe when she visits...who knows...surprise surprise i guess.
On another note...the California weather is awesome...sunny and cool. Becoming a little browner by the day (and a little more defined too YES) so that's always good.
So in conclusion
HAPPY 16 MONTHS MARIA!

| Yay! I was around for 15 months with my beloved Maria. Kinda sucks though because today is my last day in Chicago. I must now return to California for another quarter before I'm able to return home. Hope everything stays good at home while I'm gone. Must get back to prepping for leaving.
take care all ~mous

| Seeing everyone else update their xanga's makes me want to update my own...and I shall sometime soon. But I'm going to be leaving the library where I work pretty soon and I probably won't be free until tonight. Perhaps I'll write a nice, long update then...
